Wealthy Affiliate is an all-in-one affiliate marketing solution that helps novices and experts alike learn about and grow in affiliate marketing.
Here’s why I think you should consider using it:
Unlike lots of other affiliate marketing training sites, Wealthy Affiliate not only teaches you to market all kinds of products effectively, but it also helps you build and maintain websites that drive sales.
In my opinion, one of the most significant advantages you have with affiliate marketing is that you don’t need to manufacture any products yourself.
You only have to promote and sell them for a cut of the revenue.
The overtly passive nature of affiliate marketing is what makes it such a popular alternative source of income. However, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows, and affiliate marketing is no get-rich-quick tactic.
There’s a lot of work you’ll need to put in before you make affiliate marketing a dependable source of income. Wealthy Affiliate assists you in this process.
Selecting the right niche, finding the right products, building the right site… All these factors are critical for your success. Wealthy Affiliate gives you an uncomplicated blueprint that you can use and build upon and propel your affiliate marketing businesses to success.
Let us go further into detail about how Wealthy Affiliate can help you.
How Wealthy Affiliate Helps?
#1. It’s a bridge between ideas and profits.
Turning your hobby into your niche is the way to go when it comes to affiliate marketing. Talking about my hobby gets me excited and motivated, and it’s something I can talk about for minutes on end, without losing my spark.
Transforming your passion into an affiliate marketing business will enable you to share your excitement with like-minded people. You are also less likely to burn out.
If you don’t have any ideas in particular, Wealthy Affiliate will help you pick from over a million different niches.
#2. It allows you to create polished websites quickly.
Getting your website right is just as important as getting your mind-set right.
With Wealthy Affiliate, building a good-looking website is super easy. You can create a revenue-ready website in minutes—no design or coding skills needed.
What I like about Wealthy Affiliate is that I can host my websites right from their portal. I don’t need to buy hosting or configure my sites separately.
#3. You’re trained to build profit-generating businesses.
In the first few lessons you take, you will learn up-to-date techniques that help drive more traffic to your site and, hence, drive more sales.
Having access to the latest trends and techniques and tons of products—potential revenue sources right at your fingertips—gives you a massive advantage over your competitors.
#4. Spy on your competition and plan better.
The Wealthy Affiliate team also owns tools, like Jaaxy, that come free with their premium plans. Of course, you can easily test them out for free.
Using these tools, you can find niches and what your competitors are doing in those niches.
Henceforth, you will get ready-made data to create plans that convert better.
The Team behind Wealthy Affiliate
Kyle Loudoun, along with Carson Lim, founded Wealthy Affiliate back in 2005. Kyle assumes the role of marketing chief, and Carson is the design Cchief.
The two also run other successful sites like Jaxxy and Street Articles.
KC is one of the first members of Wealthy Affiliate, and he is the head of programming.
The technology chief, Aaron, ensures that the site is stable, secure, and efficient.
Jay, the training chief, ensures that you receive the support and training you need to succeed.
What You Get with Wealthy Affiliate?
The activity dashboard is much akin to a forum—you can ask questions and also answer other users’ queries. But it’s much more than that.
The dashboard is where you’ll find all the resources you need to learn affiliate marketing techniques and build and maintain your websites.
In my opinion, reading threads in the forum is one of the best ways to learn about the intricacies of affiliate marketing.
Clicking on the green “Get Started Here” button on your dashboard will open up an overlay of available courses.
Learning on Wealthy Affiliate is gamified. Everything you learn is associated with a level of accomplishment, similar to what you would get when you beat a video game level.
You can complete tasks and go through the material at your own pace, and there aren’t any time limits. As you progress through the courses, you’ll begin to grasp complex concepts that you can implement in your daily marketing efforts.
Although you’re expected to do most of the learning on your own, you can reach out to users on the forum for tips or assistance.
Wealthy Affiliate has an active and lively community. Many users post updates and answer questions daily.
Since the community is large, chances are, you’ll be misled from time to time. However, this is common and happens on most forums.
I recommend that you take users’ responses and ideas with a grain of salt and do your research before making any changes to your approach or your website.
The live chat function is great for when you need a quick response to a query. However, using live chat to carry out a detailed discussion is not recommended, since it can be difficult to keep track of who’s saying what.
Site Rubix (Web Hosting Solution)
Clicking on the “Site Rubix” button will show you a few options about making your website. If you haven’t made a website using Wealthy Affiliate yet, clicking on any of the options will reveal a blue “Build a New Website” button.
When you click on the “Build a New Website” button, you will see three options: “Register a domain,” “On a free domain,” and “On a domain I own.”
You’ll be making some far-reaching choices, some you might not understand the consequences of. But since it’s your first website, you shouldn’t worry about so much and just go through the process.
Here’s how I approached it:
I tried out all the different options and learned from the mistakes I made along the way. It is the fastest (and the most fun) way to learn, and you just have to trust the process.
You will learn all you need to know with time and trial-and-error methods.
In my opinion, Wealthy Affiliate’s Site Rubix is one of the best site-building/hosting options for beginners in the market.
The tutorials on the site, the forums, and YouTube are the best places to learn about building and launching a website.
The best part of using Wealthy Affiliate is that your membership includes hosting, and you do not need to purchase another hosting service separately.
One drawback, though, is that Wealthy Affiliate does not include WordPress themes, and your options for customization are limited.
Wealthy Affiliate Pricing
Wealthy Affiliate has two membership plans: the starter plan and the premium plan.
The starter membership plan is free, and you can use the forum and the tutorials to learn the basics of affiliate marketing. You can make two websites and do up to 30 keyword searches.
The starter plan is fairly limited since you do not get access to most of the features.
Getting the premium membership plan unlocks all the course contents on the website, and there are no restrictions on the number of sites you can make and the number of keyword searches you can do.
You can avail of the free all-access membership for one week if you’re a new member.
Although the free version can be useful, getting the premium version will ensure that you make the most of your opportunity.
Luckily, Wealthy Affiliate has different price plans you can pick from.
If you choose to upgrade to premium, you can get your first month for $19 flat. After the first month, you can switch to the monthly plan.
The monthly plan sets you back $49 a month ($588 a year). This is Wealthy Affiliate’s most expensive plan, and you can save some money in the long run by getting either a 6-month or a 12-month plan.
The 6-month plan costs $234 ($39 a month), saving you $10 a month, which translates to a $120 discount annually.
The 12-month plan costs you $359 ($29 a month), saving you about $19 a month, which translates to a $299 discount annually. The 12-month plan is Wealthy Affiliates’ cheapest price plan.
The only downside of getting a 6- or 12-month plan is that you have to pay the whole amount up-front.
You can pay for your membership via credit card, PayPal, or using WA Credits.
Plan Specifics and Onetime Offers
As mentioned earlier, Wealthy Affiliates is offering complete access to all premium features for free to new users.
The free trial lasts seven days, and I recommend checking it out. If you like the features WA is offering, you can choose to upgrade to premium for $19 flat for the first month.
Wealthy Affiliate’s cheapest plan is the 12-month plan ($359/year), and there are no upsells. Premium members have access to all the features and don’t need to pay anything extra to “unlock” some features.
Furthermore, it has specific WordPress Hosting Packages:
- Different payment modes available; credit card not required.
- Entirely web-based, works on every platform.
- You can learn at your own pace.
- No pressure to buy a premium membership.
- Task-based lessons make for hands-on learning.
- Course material covers everything from the basics to advanced concepts.
- You learn from the best in the industry.
- Fantastic support system; instant chat, comment, forums, classrooms, and direct messages allow you to resolve issues and clarify queries quickly.
- A community full of expert bloggers and entrepreneurs helps you learn quicker and make fewer mistakes.
- Following the forums and blogs on the site keeps you informed about developments in the industry.
- The exposure to heaps of new information can be overwhelming.
- Continually advancing threads and live chat can be distracting.
- The design could be better.
Should You Get Wealthy Affiliate?
I started using Wealthy Affiliate because I wanted to learn the skills required to make a good living from affiliate marketing.
This is why I think anyone eager to learn—regardless of if they are a beginner or already have some knowledge about affiliate marketing—should give Wealthy Affiliate a shot.
The flexibility WA provides makes it a unique solution for those looking to learn and grow.
Here are some use cases I can think of:
- Bloggers trying to boost their earnings from their blog.
- Those trying to hustle on the side and start their own business.
- Business owners trying to increase their online presence.
But really, the opportunity to learn is not restricted to just these use cases.
The opportunity is extended to anybody and everybody, and since you can learn at your own pace, you’re free to implement what you’ve learned whenever you think it is right.
Then again, there are some cases where not signing up to WA is the right thing to do.
Who Should Not Enroll?
- If you’ve lost your job recently and are looking to try something new.
- If you’ve suffered some financial setback.
- If you’re looking for some quick cash.
Basically, if you’re looking to make money fast, don’t sign up for Wealthy Affiliate.
Making money from affiliate marketing requires consistent effort for months, if not years. You will only see profits in the long term, and expecting to make money in a week or a month is unrealistic.
Also, if you don’t enjoy
- meeting new people and expanding your network, and
- writing and producing content.
If this is you, you should avoid getting into affiliate marketing. Even if you’d like to give it a try, you shouldn’t buy the premium membership straightaway.
Wealthy Affiliate is one of the best websites to learn about and work on affiliate marketing. You will find all the training and tools you will ever need for affiliate marketing on this one platform.
If you’re serious about building/growing your business, signing up for Wealthy Affiliate is worth your time and money.
I hope you have enjoyed my Wealthy Affiliate Review. If you have any doubt or queries, please let me know in the comment box. I will be glad to assist you.
