Thrivecart is an easy-to-use software for creating unique checkout pages that are sure to have a high conversion rate. This, in turn, would increase your sales significantly with the use of 1-click order bump offers, 1-click upsells, and other services that you might offer. Thrivecart is essentially more than just a shopping cart software.
As mentioned before, Thrivecart was only recently created back in 2016, which means it is technically a new software. In fact, it is still currently under development for almost 2 years. This means that you can expect more features and integrations to come in the future.
Despite the fact that it is being developed as of now, Thrivecart undoubtedly has a lot of useful features that rival other leading shopping cart competitors; one being SamCart, one of the top shopping cart programs in the market.
What are the top features of Thrivecart?
Thrivecart has a lot of features that will definitely help you achieve maximum profit out of a single checkout. Other than that, Thrivecart also offers several integrations to cater to your marketing needs.

1-Click Bump Offer
This has got to be one of Thrivecart’s best features because of how easy it is to make the most out of a checkout.
The 1-Click Bump offer is a checkbox that is located in your checkout page. It is basically a product offer, whereas once a customer clicks on it, the product offer will automatically be included in their receipts and their items.
In this small box, you can put in a small paragraph pertaining to why they should add that product to their carts. You can add in the benefits, features, and other information that would convince them to check the box and proceed to the checkout page.
It may seem like a small feature, but it has a significant effect on your sale.
This feature is similar to the previous one. The only difference is that it is located after the customer has completed a transaction. It acts like a prompt that has a button that will automatically add the product to your customers’ order without the need of entering their card details or whatnot.
This is more like a psychological strategy that unconsciously urges your customers to click on the upsell button. It may sound a bit much, but a strategy is a strategy when it comes to earning money. Plus, they can benefit from that product—well, it actually depends on whatever the upsell is.
I recommend choosing a product that is related to their purchases and something more advanced. An upsell should make your customers’ life much easier than before. The same thing also applies to the 1-click bump offer.
These two features are personally my favorite among Thrivecart’s features. I mean, what’s better than making more than one sale in just one transaction?
Well, that’s debatable.
This is a great feature that Thrivecart has because it provides premade checkout templates that you can use if you do not have time to customize a new one.
These checkout templates are pretty simple and are sure to convert quite well. The designs are not too complicated looking and provide a straight-to-the-point look to avoid confusion among customers (They just want to buy things, not confusion).
The customization is rather limited in some aspects of the shopping cart. One of these is the 1-click bump offer and upsell design. These two looks exactly alike, only located on separate pages. You can only change the color of the button and the border, which does not really do much.
But keep in mind that the Thrivecart team is working on creating more templates and customization options, so we’ll see about it.

You can choose one of these and customize them to your liking. Preferably, I would choose the One Step Checkout and the Two Step Checkout because they provide simple design and are likely to convert more.

Thrivecart’s Affiliate Centre has got to be one of the best affiliate management systems found on the internet. Through this feature, you will have more granular control over your affiliates and their payout settings.
The first thing you will notice in this center is the dashboard where you can find all your affiliate reports. These reports are easy to understand and are very clear on what they are presenting you.
Another thing that you can do in this feature is you can set custom commissions for individual affiliates. You can even make them second-tier affiliates as a reward for promoting your product.
Plus, you can set up your payment system to pay your affiliates instantly, removing the need to wait for at least 30-60 days. It is a great option to have if you seek to give your affiliates a reward for a job well done.
Integration has got to be one of the most important features that every marketing program should have. If not, developers should definitely add one to their programs because as you may know, marketers or online business owners use a lot of marketing software to run their businesses smoothly.

Thrivecart’s support system may not be that advanced since it currently has no live chat support or phone support, which are useful if an emergency issue arises.
To compensate for that, Thrivecart offers up-to-date documentation support that assists you and gives you an understanding of whatever issue you are currently experiencing.
However, these are just basic information that is only useful for small issues. And if you encounter bigger issues, you may need to contact them by sending out a “ticket” that can be found on the main Thrivecart website, under “Contact Us.” This may take up to 24 hours (depending on the time zone) before you get in touch with their support team.
But don’t worry, both big and small problems don’t really happen too often—which is a relief, to be honest.
Another form of support is through their closed group on Facebook. This is Thrivecart’s official Facebook group that currently has over 5k members that are willing to assist you in whatever problem you are experiencing. Plus, you can create connections within the group, which is also great.

Are you selling Digital Products?
If yes, then Thrivecart will be an effective shopping cart program for you.
That is because Thrivecart is specifically tailored to sell digital products. With all the bump offers and 1-click upsells, selling digital products are sold quite effectively through Thrivecart.
With all the integrations Thrivecart has, especially in email marketing services, you can easily deliver eBooks, videos, and email sequences that promote your products quite well.
It also has an affiliate management software, which lets you work with other content marketers to promote your products and pay them instantly through its advanced commission feature.
Thrivecart has got to be one of the best shopping cart programs for selling digital products because it is basically created to do so.
Are you selling Physical Products?
If yes, then that is highly dependent on how extensive your product library is. Having a large library of physical products in your online store may prove to be difficult for Thrivecart to work. The main reason for this is that Thrivecart will never be an alternative for WooCommerce and Shopify.
But if you only sell a few physical products with some other digital stuff, then Thrivecart might work with a few tweaks.
The options for this particular Thrivecart usage are very limited, but it is still good to know that Thrivecart is working on making this possible without any hindrances and limitations present.
But as of now, it is not a good idea to use Thrivecart in selling physical products.

What I like about Thrivecart (Pros)

There is no doubt that Thrivecart has a lot of competitors. That is why if you are having doubts about choosing Thrivecart, don’t worry because I will be comparing Thrivecart to its alternative programs and see which one the best choice is.
Thrivecart vs. SamCart
SamCart is actually Thrivecart’s direct rival since they are closely comparable to one another.
In fact, these two products are both created for the sole purpose of selling digital products with the goal of helping online business owners have better sales management, acquire customer insight and trust, and achieve maximum conversion per checkout.
Although SamCart is a pretty solid shopping cart program that has an amazing set of advanced features like Thrivecart, Thrivecart has got to be the best option between the two.
The reason for this is the price range. SamCart currently offers its services on a monthly basis, which costs a whopping $199 per month. That is significantly more expensive than what Thrivecart is offering.
Thrivecart only offers a one-time LIFETIME payment of $595, which is a total bargain, unlike most programs.
All in all, Thrivecart easily wins this one.
Thrivecart vs. ClickFunnels
This comparison is quite a stretch because Thrivecart and ClickFunnels are quite different in their usage. Although it is no doubt that ClickFunnels is a more popular solution when it comes to funnel building, sales, lead magnets, and other online marketing stuff.
That is where the difference takes place. Thrivecart is only focused on being a shopping cart with a few features like affiliate management. It is not a landing page builder, unlike ClickFunnels that can set up a landing page easily.
If we are talking about features beyond shopping carts and affiliate management systems, the ClickFunnels is clearly the winner in this comparison. If not, then Thrivecart is the better choice in regards to being a shopping cart program with an affiliate management system.
The reason for that is because ClickFunnels does not plan on being a shopping cart program, unlike Thrivecart. ClickFunnels is more of an all-around program for online entrepreneurs to use. This explains its expensive price plans. Example of this is its Etison Suite plan that costs $297 a month, which includes an affiliate management program called Backpack.
So, when comparing the two, you would have to think about what you plan on using it for. If you are just looking for a shopping cart, look no further than Thrivecart—which is cheaper than ClickFunnels’ Etison Suite.
Thrivecart vs. WooCommerce
Thrivecart and WooCommerce are two different shopping cart programs. This comparison will be dependent on what product you are thinking of selling.
If you plan on selling multiple physical products with a minor library of digital products, WooCommerce has got to be the one for you. In terms of popularity and market size, WooCommerce beats Thrivecart with ease.
Thrivecart is only effective if you mainly sell digital products, although you can include a few physical products as well. But keep in mind that you will have a hard time selling a large display of physical products on Thrivecart because it is not built for it, unlike WooCommerce and Shopify.
You can also use WooCommerce in selling digital products, but I would not recommend it since it will create more complications.
So, I would suggest using Thrivecart to sell digital products instead.
It is easy to see how great Thrivecart is for a shopping cart that is geared towards selling digital products. It is also evident in this review on how much I enjoyed using this program, especially its affiliate management system or the Affiliate Centre.
It has a lot of features that go beyond its shopping cart capabilities, which makes it a pretty impressive program despite it still being under development for a few years now. But that did not stop it from delivering its purpose; from a number of integrations to affiliate management, it is easy to say that not getting this program is a no-brainer.
Plus, it only costs a one-time payment of $595, in which you will get lifetime access. It is a worthy investment in my book.
I would definitely recommend getting this one if:
- You plan on selling digital products
- You want to invest in a more comprehensive and useful shopping cart
- And lastly, if you want an amazing affiliate management software, which is easy to understand
